TIFTON – The Dirty Grass Players will be performing at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture’s Wiregrass Opry stage with a night of bluegrass on Nov. 18.
“The Museum’s Opry Shelter stage and bluegrass music go hand in hand,” said Garrett Boone, GMA director. “It has been several years since we had bluegrass music and even longer since we had a concert in the Opry Shelter, so we are excited to bring bluegrass music back to the Opry Shelter stage and ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture. The Dirty Grass players quartet concert is high energy with a blend of traditional and progressive bluegrass music, appealing to a wide variety and age of concertgoers.”
Comprised of Connor Murray on bass, Alex Berman on banjo, Ben Kolakowski with the guitar, and Ryan Rogers on mandolin, the Dirty Grass Players blend a more traditional style of bluegrass, which is the backbone of what they do, and a progressive style with their innovative forward-thinking approach.
Their ability to seamlessly transition from downhome bluegrass to spirited improvisation makes each performance unique. With a nod to the past and glance to the future, the Dirty Grass Players are keeping alive the long history of bluegrass while pushing the traditional genre into the next generation.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for non-ABAC students.
