Counseling Center

The mission of The Counseling Center is to foster the development and emotional well-being of ABAC students through personal behavioral health counseling. The Counseling Center provides individual counseling, group counseling, prevention and outreach, consultation, and crisis response across the ABAC Tifton and Bainbridge campuses.

ABAC has partnered with the University System of Georgia to offer more mental health services on campus.

LetsChat@ABAC

The University System of Georgia has launched a program to expand mental health resources. With so many changes in the world and factors that can compromise your health and wellness, ABAC wants to make sure that students have the support they need.

ABAC has partnered with Christie Campus Health to provide free 24/7/365 mental health support resources for ABAC students. Access the LetsChat@ABAC 24/7 Support line by calling 229-391-5135 and clicking option 2 or calling 833-855-0079.

Shubha Chatterjee, Ed.D, LPC, GCADC III, ATR

Shubha is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor, and Art Therapist. She has been practicing counseling for over 8 years. She specializes in art therapy, biofeedback, and addictions. When she is not serving in her role as a counselor in the Center, she serves as a lecturer of psychology for the department of Rural Studies.

Sue is an Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College alumna. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an option in Accounting from Georgia Southwestern State University. She has worked with ABAC Foundation, Inc. for eight years. She has now joined our team as Office Coordinator for Academic Support and the Counseling Center.

Phyllis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She has over 30 years of counseling experience and is a valuable resource for the ABAC community.
