Orientation will help you:
Orientation is your first step to a bright future at ABAC!
The purpose of New Student Orientation is to ensure that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life at ABAC. Orientation promotes discussion among parents, new students, continuing students, and faculty and staff on the expectations and perceptions of the campus community. All new students and transfer students with less than 30 credit hours are required to attend an in-person orientation session. Transfer students with more than 30 credit hours may complete their orientation process in an entirely online-format–though we’d love to see you on campus if you’d like to attend!
Why is Orientation important?
- Gain a better understanding of the personal and financial responsibilities of attending college
- Learn about campus services, activities, academic resources, and the ABAC experience
- Learn about your academic area of study
- Complete ABAC business such as getting your Campus ID Card (Gold Card), speaking with Housing, visiting Financial Aid and Student Accounts, and reviewing your class schedule.
A student is registered for classes based on their acceptance and submission of all required admission documents. Required documents are outlined in the first orientation letter.
Once the required documents are received, the student will receive a second orientation letter outlining their next steps and assigned orientation date. New students with under 30 credit hours will receive their schedules in their ABAC email close to the start of the semester. New students with more than 30 credit hours will complete the fast-track registration process.
Orientation is every Stallion’s first step into the ABAC community!
Once students have satisfied all of their admissions requirements, new students will be assigned an orientation date. If the orientation date that the student is assigned conflicts with their schedule, please let us know and we’ll be happy to adjust!

Welcome Weekend is packed with a variety of events and activities to assist first-year and transfer students in making new friends, connecting with ABAC, learning about resources, and getting involved in campus life.
Welcome Weekend events will begin on Friday, August 11, 2023 and run through Monday, August 14, 2023. All new students should also plan to attend our convocation ceremony on Saturday, August 12 at 9:00 AM. Transfer Students' Fast Track Orientation
Transfer Students, who graduated before May 2022 and have 30 or more transferable hours, will register through the Fast Track Registration process. Students will receive their Orientation Program electronically through their ABAC email address. This Orientation program will prepare students for life as an ABAC Stallion and equip them with the knowledge necessary to have all of their questions answered. At the end of the Orientation program, there is a short survey for students to complete–this will help us improve the Online Orientation program.
Upon completing the items under step one of the New Student Checklist, students will be eligible to register at the start of Priority 5 registration after completing the fast-track link below. After completing the form, contact information for the student’s advisor will be emailed to their ABAC email address. The student will then contact their advisor to schedule courses for the upcoming semester.
Orientation for all new students attending the ABAC Bainbridge site will be held on Thursday, July 27th, 2023. Please remember that, before students can be reserved for Orientation, they must first submit all required documents. Required documents are outlined in the first Orientation letter. Once the required documents are received, the student will be confirmed for the July 27th Orientation session.
If any student is not able to attend the July 27th Orientation, please contact the Orientation team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are incredibly excited to welcome our new Stallions into the ABAC family during the ABAC Bainbridge Orientation day!
New Student Orientation for all ABAC Bainbridge students will be held on Thursday, July 27th, 2023.
We look forward to meeting you on Orientation day!
Spring and Summer Orientation for ABAC Bainbridge students is held virtually and will be emailed to the student’s ABAC email address. The program will address many common questions that students have about the ABAC experience and equip you with the knowledge necessary to be successful at ABAC!
