Orientation

Orientation is your first step to a bright future at ABAC!

The purpose of New Student Orientation is to ensure that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life at ABAC. Orientation promotes discussion among parents, new students, continuing students, and faculty and staff on the expectations and perceptions of the campus community.  All new students and transfer students with less than 30 credit hours are required to attend an in-person orientation session. Transfer students with more than 30 credit hours may complete their orientation process in an entirely online-format–though we’d love to see you on campus if you’d like to attend!

Why is Orientation important?

  • Gain a better understanding of the personal and financial responsibilities of attending college
  • Learn about campus services, activities, academic resources, and the ABAC experience
  • Learn about your academic area of study
  • Complete ABAC business such as getting your Campus ID Card (Gold Card), speaking with Housing, visiting Financial Aid and Student Accounts, and reviewing your class schedule.

Tifton

A student is registered for classes based on their acceptance and submission of all required admission documents. You may find your outstanding documents at admit.abac.edu.

Once the required documents are received, the student will receive additional information to their ABAC email address with next steps. You will need to complete all of these requirements prior to attending Orientation if you wish to receive a class schedule on or before your Orientation day!

Transfer Students' Fast Track Orientation

Transfer Students, who graduated before May 2022 and have 30 or more transferable hours, will register through the Fast Track Registration process. Students will receive their Orientation Program electronically through their ABAC email address. This Orientation program will prepare students for life as an ABAC Stallion and equip them with the knowledge necessary to have all of their questions answered. At the end of the Orientation program, there is a short survey for students to complete–this will help us improve the Online Orientation program.

Upon completing the items under step one of the New Student Checklist, students will be eligible to register at the start of Priority 5 registration after completing the fast-track link below. After completing the form, contact information for the student’s advisor will be emailed to their ABAC email address. The student will then contact their advisor to schedule courses for the upcoming semester.
