Provost Search

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), a state college located on campuses in Tifton and Bainbridge in south Georgia, invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (Provost). Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Provost is both the chief academic officer and the chief student affairs officer for the College. ABAC is a member of the University System of Georgia and enrolls 3700 students in its baccalaureate and associate degree programs. The Provost is expected to take office in June 2024.

March 1, 2024 – Deadline for consideration of applications; position remains open until filled.

March 12, 2024 – Search Committee meets to select candidates for initial interviews.

Week of March 25, 2024 – Semi-finalist interviews. Reference and background checks begin.

Week of April 1, 2024 – Finalist Interviews on campus.

Week of April 8, 2024 – Search Committee meets to review and prepare report of assessment of finalist candidates.

Late April, 2024 – Announcement made (upon contract signature).

June 1, 2024 – New Provost assumes office.
