Dr. Sheikh is a devoted classroom instructor. He clearly enjoys working with students as he has dedicated over twenty years teaching students at ABAC. He teaches in the area of computer information systems, including data analytics. Dr. Sheikh always strives to provide his students with challenging and rewarding learning experiences.
Dr. Sheikh lives in Tifton with his wife. He has two grown up children. Both of his children attended ABAC before going on to medical school. He enjoys travelling, watching western movies, and learning new technologies.

Dr. Sheikh describes himself as a life-long student. He has academic degrees and certifications in multiple subject areas. He is active in mentored student research. His research interest is in analyzing data with a programming approach. He also collaborates with the UGA Department of Poultry Science in their effort to measure the poultry industry carbon footprint in Georgia and the nation.
As a technology instructor, Dr. Sheikh works very closely with his students ensuring students learn essential foundational skills to succeed in the work environment and higher studies. He encourages students to engage in research and devotes his time providing necessary guidance and support. In the first ever ABAC STEP Symposium in 2018, two of his students made a presentation of their mentored research work. In the second STEP Symposium in 2019, three groups of his students submitted their mentored research work. One group won third place in the Video Presentation (called Lightning Talk) of their research work. Another mentored student presented a research paper in April 2019 at the Society of Business, Industry, and Economics academic conference.
