Waivers

9af38f56828cbf736f88dda8f65610a956

All waivers for Fall 2017 will be applied by July 28, 2017.

Waivers are granted only after required documentation to validate waiver eligibility from the requester and notification from the Office of Student Accounts.  All waiver requests are evaluated according to Georgia laws, BOR policy, and ABAC policy.

The Office of Student Accounts maintains the list of approved waiver types, which includes the type of waiver, eligibility requirements and notification of approval of the various waivers.

Because Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a state-funded institution, students must show proof of residency to qualify for in-state tuition.  Students who are legal residents of Georgia are entitled to pay in-state tuition as a benefit of paying state taxes.  It is the student who has the burden of proof for documenting their residency for tuition payment purposes.

Please note: establishing domicile for in-state tuition payment purposes is different than establishing residency for other purposes, such as to obtain a driver’s license.

Please see below for more information on Waivers.

Petition for Georgia Tuition Classification

Tuition classification petitions are for students wishing to contest their current non-resident tuition classification status.

If you have been admitted to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and are currently classified as a non-resident for tuition purposes, and you think that if further information was provided that this classification could be changed, you may submit a Petition for Tuition Reclassification.
