Waivers are granted only after required documentation to validate waiver eligibility from the requester and notification from the Office of Student Accounts. All waiver requests are evaluated according to Georgia laws, BOR policy, and ABAC policy.
The Office of Student Accounts maintains the list of approved waiver types, which includes the type of waiver, eligibility requirements, and notification of approval of the various waivers.
Because Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is a state-funded institution, students must show proof of residency to qualify for in-state tuition. Students who are legal residents of Georgia are entitled to pay in-state tuition as a benefit of paying state taxes. It is the student who has the burden of proof for documenting their residency for tuition payment purposes.
Please note: establishing domicile for in-state tuition payment purposes is different than establishing residency for other purposes, such as obtaining a driver’s license.
