ABOUT Dual Enrollment

At ABAC, we offer an engaged academic experience for advanced high school students participating in our Dual Enrollment program. We offer classes in Tifton, Bainbridge, Blakely, and Donaldsonville, or at various high schools in South Georgia. Wherever you are, you can be sure that your courses meet the rigorous academic standards for which ABAC is known.

Full tuition is paid by the Georgia Department of Education. Textbooks are provided by the college. The only cost associated with Dual Enrollment will be lab fees for science courses.


Effective for summer 2019 through spring 2020, our new dual enrollment admissions criteria are as follows:

  • Academic High School GPA of 3.0
  • Age/Grade Level:  Successful Completion of 10th grade
  • Testing requirements:
    • SAT total in Critical Reading and Math of 1050 (placement testing may be required if individual subject scores are not met) or
    • ACT composite score of 20 (placement testing may be required if individual subject scores are not met) or
    • Next-Generation ACCUPLACER Placement Scores
      • Required Scores:
      • Math –266
      • Reading — 237
      • Writeplacer – 4

Steps to Apply

  1. Talk with your high school counselor to be sure you are eligible. Complete all forms required by your high school for participation in Dual Enrollment.
  2. Apply to ABAC. Select the check or money order option to submit the application. The application fee will be waived for dual enrollment students. Indicate on the application that you are a dual enrollment student.
  3. Request that your high school send an official transcript to ABAC Admissions.
  4. Submit an official copy of SAT or ACT scores directly from the College Board or ACT.org OR take the Accuplacer Algebra, Writing, and Reading through ABAC’s testing center.  
  5. Submit the certificate of immunization form.
  6. Go to Georgia Futures and fill out the Dual Enrollment application.
