With an economic impact over $100 billion and supporting 16% of the state’s workforce, Agribusiness is a huge part of what makes Georgia – and the surrounding region – tick. When you pursue an agribusiness degree from ABAC, you will learn how agriculture and business intersect to create our world’s food system and how business interests affect agricultural practices.
The program’s emphasis on analytical problem-solving using business skills rooted in
agricultural, application-based knowledge, will prepare you to manage land, labor, capital, and other resources to keep today’s dynamic agricultural enterprises economically viable. Upon graduation, you will be ready to pursue a career in a variety of fields, including farming and ranching, sales and marketing, government service, agri-focused financial services, and hundreds more.
What You Will Study:
You will receive the same phenomenal general education core that all ABAC students study in their first two years as a Stallion. In these classes, you will learn and work alongside students from every single major on campus, gaining insight from and sharing experiences with a diverse cross-section of the student body.
As you progress into your major-area classes, your coursework will focus on studying business principles from an agricultural perspective as well as topics specific to operating a successful agribusiness:

- Agricultural studies including equipment management, plant protection, crop and animal production
