Trick or Treat at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture October 28
October 5, 2023
TIFTON– Bring your ghouls and goblins to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture for the annual Trick-or-Treat in the Village on Oct. 28.
Children can trick-or-treat their way around the Historic Village from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Candy will be available throughout the Village while supplies last.
Throughout the day there will be activities to entertain guests of all ages. Visitors will be enthralled with spooky stories at the Simon James Cabin and the Not-So-Scary Critters at the Langdale Nature Center. The Gallery will have sensory-friendly activities and tasty popcorn.
Always enjoyable, a hayride around the Historic Village is a fun way to get around to the different activities, such as a “Visit with the Farm Animals” at Destination Ag. The whistle will be blowing, the belts turning and the saw blades spinning at the steam powered sawmill. There will also be face painting by Robyn with Happy Sunrise Face Painting.
Plenty of snacks and sweet treats will be available to enjoy throughout the day. At the Historic Village Drug Store guests have options from barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, and hand-dipped ice cream. Cotton candy and popcorn will also be available at the Country Store.
Food trucks will also be onsite during Trick or Treat in the Village. Grinnin’ Possum features locally sourced menu items such as shrimp and grits, southern poutine and Georgia Beer Mac-N-Cheesy Fries. Wilma’s Place will have funnel cakes, fried pickles, corn dogs and fried Oreos.
Admission for the day is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, $7 for children 5 – 16 years of age, and free for children ages 4 and under.
