Agri-Business Club Mission Statement

The Ag. Business Club’s mission is to promote interest in the field of agricultural and applied business (including and not limited to agri-marketing, ag economics and natural resource and environmental economics), to become a part of and participate in the National Agri-Marketing Association, to reach out to ABAC students recruiting those who are interested in the agricultural industry and business, and to help students find their niche in the agricultural career field through ag tours and guest speakers while engaging students in professional development opportunities.

Agri-Business on Campus

The Ag. Business Club is dedicated to helping the students of ABAC through career development, service opportunities, professional networking, and education enhancement. The club is open to all ABAC students regardless of major. Our primary focuses are agriculture, business, management, marketing, communications and development.

2016 NAMA Team

2015-2016 NAMA Team

One of the ways we accomplish all of this is through our affiliation with the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). As an accredited NAMA chapter we receive a lot of support from industry professionals who want to contribute to the next generation of business managers. Additionally, we travel to the annual student marketing competition each April. At the competition more than 300 students from over 30 major colleges and universities present a full marketing for a new innovative agricultural product. Students spend an entire academic year developing the plan and the presentation that is presented to panels marketing representatives. The conference offers an amazing experience as well as the opportunity to meet 1,000 industry contacts in attendance. In its first year, the Ag Business Club was one of the top chapters in the country. This year we’re shooting for the top.
