What are the new admissions standards for Dual Enrollment Students?
Due to the decision made by the College Board and ACT to temporarily suspend testing, as well as the recent news that the Accuplacer-Examity remote test proctoring service will be offline for a period of time, ABAC is authorized to evaluate summer and fall 2020 Dual Enrollment applicants without SAT, ACT or Accuplacer scores.
Dual enrollment students without test scores must provide a transcript showing they are on-track for completing all high school graduation requirements and the USG Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) and have at least a 3.0 High School Grade Point Average calculated on the RHSC courses completed. In addition, students must exempt placement in corequisite Learning Support for both English and mathematics.
Dual Enrollment applicants without test scores must meet both of the following to exempt placement in corequisite Learning Support:
- English: Two units of RHSC English must be successfully completed prior to the start of the Dual Enrollment term, and,
- Math: High school Algebra II or the equivalent must be successfully completed prior to the start of the Dual Enrollment term.
