Associate Professor
School of Agriculture and Natural Resources
My passion for teaching and agriculture education were combined when I received my degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Georgia in 2007. Currently, I am in my 18th year of education. I began my teaching career at the middle school grade level teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Exploratory Agriscience and serving as the FFA advisor. I served in this capacity for seven years. I then transferred within my county to the high school where I assumed the role of agriculture education teacher, FFA advisor, and Young Farmer advisor. While at the high school level, I taught two in school courses daily and ran a Young Farmer program. This program is the adult education component of agriculture education. I served as a daily contact, community liaison for our Ag program, and worked to offer adult education courses for my members. After three years in this role, I ventured to an interview at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where I was offered the position of an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education within the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. I completed my Doctorate in Career and Technical Education from Auburn University in June of 2018. I am currently in my 8th year at ABAC.
