ABAC Arts Series Features California Guitar Trio February 15

TIFTON—The universe of guitar knows no boundaries for The California Guitar Trio. Back by popular demand, the trio will return to the Tifton stage on Feb. 15 for a 7 p.m. performance in Howard Auditorium as a part of the ABAC Presents! Performing Arts Series at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Since 1991, the group has enthralled listeners with a singular sound that fearlessly crisscrosses genres. Their questing spirit drives them to explore the intersections between rock, jazz, classical, and world music. The guitarists even throw in the occasional surf or spaghetti Western tune for good measure.

“The California Guitar Trio is a perennial favorite of our audiences,” said ABAC Arts Connection Director Wayne Jones. “One of the most satisfying things I’ve ever experienced as a presenter was their last concert here. By the end of that concert, the whole audience was singing along!”

Tickets will be available at the door for the California Guitar Trio at a cost of $20 for adults and $10 for students who are 18 and under. For tickets, interested persons should contact the ABAC Arts Connection Ticket Line at (229) 391-4895.

Remaining events in the ABAC arts series include An Evening at the Cinema with Jared Starr and Andy Lagrimas on March 15 and saxophonist Tim Green with the ABAC Jazz Ensemble on April 19.

The ABAC Performing Arts Series is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. Georgia Council for the Arts also receives support from its partner agency, the National Endowment for the Arts.
