Summer Writing Workshop

Welcome to the 3rd Annual ABAC Writing Workshop (May 20th, 2017)

This year we will feature screenwriter Michael Lucker, as well as Dr. Sandra Giles (ABAC Professor of English), Dr. Jeff Newberry (ABAC Poet in Residence), Brandi Arrington (faculty advisor to Pegasus), Dr. Tom Grant (DuPont award winning journalist and and faculty advisor to The Stallion), and Dr. Jordan Cofer (author of The Gospel According to Flannery O’Connor). 

This year’s conference is offering prizes in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and short film. All participants are encouraged to participate (no extra fee).

Up to three poems (up to fifty lines)
A short story (up to 2000 words)
A single creative nonfiction essay (up to 2000 words)
A short film (up to two minutes long, MPEG or MP4 format only)

There will be award to the winner of each category.
