I am currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in the School of Arts and Sciences at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. My primary research interests are in mathematical biology, with a focus on optimal control,  mathematical model formulation, analysis and simulation for various biological and medical problems.  This involves interdisciplinary research collaborations with biologists, clinicians,  pathologists and ecologists to develop, apply and analyze mathematical models in order to better understand population processes and disease dynamics. I use mathematical and statistical techniques to connect experimental data with mathematical models,  analyze them, estimate parameters, and draw conclusions. My current work involve application of optimal control in infectious disease models and development and analysis of mathematical models for host pathogen interaction for various infectious disease.

Teachingwise, I am interested in teaching any undergraduate math and statistics courses. In the past,  I have taught  many math and statistics courses including lower division remedial math courses such as College Algebra, Calculus I, II & III, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistical Reasoning and upper division courses such as Differential Equations, Advanced Calculus, Linear and Abstract Algebra, Numerical Mathematics and Statistics. I am equally interested in advising and co-advising undergraduate research projects.
