European Council  Faculty and Program Director Fellowship

The European Council will provide fellowship recipients with $1,000 payment toward roundtrip airfare, accommodations and/or excursions, to be determined in consultation between the recipient and the program director. The fellowship recipients or their institutions need only provide the balance, as well as meals not provided on-site, and any personal travel and expenses not included in the week’s on-site programming. NOTE: Fellowship recipients must make their own flight arrangements, details of the group flight can be provided if they wish to coordinate their flight with the outbound program group flight. 

Selected faculty are required to attend the April 16 faculty workshop as well as the May 14 student orientation at GCSU in Milledgeville before departing with the group in late June or early July. Fellowship recipients will participate in the first week of the European Council program and learn how to develop study abroad classes or manage study abroad programs for the European Council.
Applications are due November 12th electronically to the EC Coordinator, Whitney Strickler (wsstrickler@valdosta.edu) as well as in hard copy format with requested signatures. 
Selection will be made at the November 19th EC meeting.  Recipients will be notified of their acceptance by late November.
