SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH TEMPORARY DISABILITIES

Anyone can become disabled at any time. Individuals with a temporary disability, usually due to an injury such as a broken writing arm, an eye injury, etc., should be referred to Dr. Maggie Martin, Director of Student Development, after the individual has received initial medical treatment. Depending upon the documentation of the disability, the student may be eligible to receive services such as note taking, special test administration, or the loan of assistive technology or book cart. If the student is absent for an extended period, Dr. Maggie Martin may assist in making a request for a medical withdrawal.
