Family and Consumer Science (FACS) Club

Family & Consumer Sciences Club meetings are held throughout each semester. Club members are involved in campus and community activities. The FACS Club provides professional development opportunities for members by attending state meetings with other students majoring in Family & Consumer Sciences at UGA, GSU, and FVSU and by attending the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Annual Meeting each summer. Membership is encouraged for all those majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences. Check postings in Ag Sciences classroom 133 for meeting dates each semester.

Mission

Mission:

The Family and Consumer Sciences Club is an opportunity for students to learn more about career opportunities, the issues, concerns and contribution of professionals in the field, develop professional character and to discuss current topics.

Typical activities include community service, fund raising, and workshops. The club also sponsors the Mr. ABAC, male beauty contest.

Membership is open to all full-time students in good academic standing. Students should register for FACS 1100.
