Campbell on Lydia: “I am so happy to have Lydia in our program at ABAC again this year as she joined us late last season during the Spring semester. She is a hard worker and such a team player. I expect Lydia to contribute with duties behind the plate this year. She is a great example of a super student athlete and she is such an asset to have in our Fillie program.”
High School: Lydia attended Turner County High School where she played softball for three years. Her freshman year she started at second base and was awarded defensive player of the year and Honorable Mention. Lydia’s junior year she pitched and also caught and made First Team All-Region. Senior year Lydia was the starting pitcher and was awarded defensive player and First Team All-Region.
Personal: Lydia Kingry was born on February 14, 1994 in Tifton, GA. Her parents are David and Lisa Kingry. Lydia is the youngest of four; Jessica, Jonathan, and Rachel Kingry. Outside of softball, Lydia loves spending time with her family and friends, playing her drums, and basketball. After ABAC she plans to get into an Athletic Training program at a University.
Why ABAC?: I chose ABAC because it is close to home and Coach Campbell is just an amazing coach with the passion she has for the game and for the team. ABAC is also a great school that offers many opportunities and has advantages that larger school may not have. Even though ABAC is small it gives students a better chance to have one on one time with professors.
