Rachel Hill
P/1B Bats R/Throws R Lilburn, GA Campbell on Rachel: “I am so excited to have Rachel join the Fillie pitching staff. The best way to sum up Rachel is that she is just a competitor! Rachel works hard and her hard work pays off as she will be a top freshman pitcher in the GCAA and I am just glad ABAC was her college of choice.” High School: Rachel attended Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County, which played in Region 8AAAAA. During Rachel’s junior year Brookwood placed 3rd in the GHSA State Tournament and 5th in the tournament her senior year. Rachel started playing softball her freshman year on the JV squad and during her sophomore year she was pulled up to the varsity roster to compete. Rachel was named on the All-Gwinnett County Fastpitch Softball Team Region 8-AAAAA in the pitching position both years. Personal: Rachel was born on August 26, 1994 to Tim and Kim Hill. She has an older sister and two older brothers. She loves her big family and spending time with them. She has played softball since she was four years old and has continued to develop an ever-growing passion for the game. Why ABAC? I made the decision to attend ABAC when I was overwhelmed by Coach Campbell’s kindness and confidence she had in my abilities as a pitcher. I have been on campus since August and I have fallen in love with the smaller campus and town of Tifton. Playing softball for the Fillies is the cherry on the cake to a great college to attend. I can’t wait to see what the season holds for me and the team. I hope to continue my athletic career at another wonderful college after ABAC! |
