At ABAC: “Jessi had to battle the injury bug last season and returned to the outfield mid season. I expect Jessi to build on her 21 games she played as a freshman and have a great sophomore year as she loves to play the game and is such a competitor.”
Campbell on Jessica: “I am excited to have Jessi in our program as she has a competitive nature that coaches love to have on their team. She is a hard worker and I feel Jessie will have a great sophomore year for the 2013 Fillies.”
High School: Jessi went to Lee County High School where she played two years Varsity softball and started her senior year in centerfield. She received honorable mention first team All-Region her senior year as well as first team All-Area and was named best defensive player. She also participated in Varsity track and basketball.
Personal: Jessi was born on April 16, 1993 in Gainesville, Georgia to Henry and Leslie Jones. She has an older brother, Will, who is a senior at the University of West Georgia, where he plays football. Along with softball, Jessi enjoys many things like watching her brother play football, going to the beach, taking road trips, dancing at random moments with her team in study hall and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Why ABAC: I chose ABAC because I wanted to start something new being the only athlete to come here from Lee County. I felt like I was at a place that I could call home when I arrived for my tryout because Coach Campbell kept it calm and fun and now that I am here, I love it. My team is like a second family.
