Annie at ABAC: Anna played in 20 games last year in the Fillies infield, pinch hitting and running role.
Campbell on Annie: “I am glad Annie is back in an ABAC uniform. She is such a joy to have in our program as she is a hard worker. I expect Annie to be a valuable asset to our 2014 team as she is capable of playing several infield positions.”
High School: Annie was a four year varsity softball player at Hebron Christian Academy. Her freshman year she was listed in the prep county top 50 and was the team leader in RBI’s. After her sophomore year she was honorable mention; best all-around shortstop in 8-A and was also the team leader in RBI’s. Her junior year she made All Region 8-A team and was the team leader in RBI’s and homeruns. Her senior year she made the All Region 8-A and was awarded the best defensive player.
Personal: Annie Ranus was born July 23, 1994. She is the daughter to Steve and Tammy Ranus and she also has an older brother. Other than softball, she loves to go mudding, fishing, swimming, watch scary movies, being with family and friends, as well as going to the beach.
Why ABAC? “I chose ABAC because it felt like home. I wanted to play for Coach Campbell and I felt God had led me here for a reason.”
