At ABAC:   Savanna played in 46 games last season for the Fillies as our 2nd baseman.  She scored 17 runs, had 12 RBI’s, hit 6 doubles and 2 homeruns.

Campbell on Savanna:  “I am happy to have Savanna in our program as she is the first player from Grayson High School to be a part of ABAC Softball.  She is a fundamentally sound infielder who knows the game and did an excellent job at 2nd base last season.  I expect Savanna to have a big sophomore year.”

High school:  Savanna was a three year varsity softball player at Grayson High School in Loganville, GA.  Savanna was chosen for the Gwinnett Diamond Club Team of the Mouth in September 2008. Savanna also made All-region her sophomore year and was voted Grayson Defensive Player of the Year. Her junior year the Grayson team got the chance to go to Columbus, GA and fight for a state championship. Savanna’s senior year the team came in second in the region, and returned to Columbus, GA for the Elite 8.

Personal: Savanna was born May 4, 1993 to the loving parents of Ron and Cherie Berkhiser. Savanna has two wonderful little sisters, London and Skylar. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her sisters; going bowling, playing board games, helping them improve their softball skill and often times even getting beat up by the little ones. When not on the softball field or playing around with her sisters Savanna enjoys doing Sudoku puzzles and going places with friends.

Why ABAC?  “I chose ABAC because I really like the feel of the small campus. I feel extremely comfortable at the school and feel like I can be myself.  I love hanging out with the girls on the team and the new people I have met at ABAC are just as great.”
