Lamar Branch Student Center~ A Message From the Student Body President...I would like to first welcome the incoming freshman to their new school. I hope that ABAC is everything you need and and more. This next year will be full of new experiences inside and outside the classroom. Keep in mind that you are beginning the next phase of your life that inevitably decides your future career, so chose wisely. Your first choice to come here already shows that you have remarkable taste. I would also like to welcome back our returning students and remind you of what ABAC has to offer. ABAC has lots of opportunities waiting to help you along your path. We have a wide array of clubs and organizations for your educational and entertainment purposes. We have plenty of tutoring services available so there are no excuses for bad grades. Living on campus also provides you with the advantage of being surrounded by your peers who are going through the same changes and difficulties as you are. Our housing department has you on their priority list. Our dorms are safe and clean with again plenty of opportunity to get out and become entertained and educated. We have lots of opportunities for FREE FOOD, which is a necessity while in college. ABAC has a lot planned this year despite the budget cuts. Last year was a trying year full of confusion but this year the ABAC administration, staff and faculty posses a greater understanding of the new changes made to our finances. This school year I, as your 2009-2010 student government president, have huge plans in store for our campus. However I need everyone's help. SGA was established to speak for the students. If you want to change something or voice your opinion about anything on campus then you should become involved with SGA. ABAC has over thirty clubs and organizations available for you. If you are not involved in a club or organization I encourage you to find one that suits your interests. I would like to introduce myself to you now. My name is Kaitlan Andrews, you can call me Kati. I will be living on campus this year at the Lakeside dorms. This will be my third year at ABAC, no it's not because I have too, it's because I want too. I have grown to love this campus. My mission this year is to gain more student involvement on campus. I want to reach everyone with every kind of culture, history and personality. I have faith that we have something more to offer you. It is up to you to take advantage of these opportunities! I hope everyone has a wonderful year.
