Clubs and Organizations on Campus

For more information about any of the various clubs and organizations on campus, please contact either the club president or club advisor.

 

4-H

Purpose: 4-H is a national organization that offers continued involvement on the collegiate level.

ABAC Ambassadors

Purpose: The ABAC Ambassadors are a select group of students chosen for their enthusiasm, leadership ability, and communication skills who represent ABAC in Tifton and across the state of Georgia. The Ambassadors’ program involves a maximum of 14 students per year.

ABAC Golf Course Superintendents Association (Turf Club)

Purpose: The ABAC Golf Course Superintendents Association, or the Turf Club, is open to students who are interested in golf course management.

Agricultural Equipment Technology (AET)

Purpose: The Agricultural Equipment Technology, or AET, Club is dedicated to preparing students in the fields of agriculture and industrial equipment.

Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG)

Purpose: Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) is a national honors society for business majors with a 3.0 grade point average (GPA).

Baptist Collegiate  Ministries (BCM)

Purpose: The Baptist Collegiate Ministries, or commonly known as BCM, offers recreation, fellowship, and avenues for spiritual growth.

Campus Activities Board (CAB) 

Purpose: The Campus Activities Board, or commonly known as CAB, is a student-run organization that serves as the primary organizer and coordinator of entertainment and events for the student body.

Cattlemen’s Association

Purpose: The Cattlemen’s Association is an organization that unites cattle producers to advance the economic, political and social interests of Georgia's cattle industry.  This organization is open to any student interested in the beef industry.

Christian Student Fellowship (CSF)

Purpose: Christian Student Fellowship, or CSF, is a non-denominational Bible Study group that offers spiritual guidance.

Circle K

Purpose: Circle K is a premiere service and leadership development organization for college students with over 500 chapters in 10 countries and more than 11,000 students who serve their campuses and communities every day.

College Democrats

Purpose: The ABAC Chapter of the College Democrats of America is one of the many official student outreach arms of the Democratic Party. It aims to train and engage new generations of Democratic activists and shape the party of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson with voices from America's youth.

College Republicans

Purpose: The ABAC Chapter of the College Republicans National Committee is one of the many official student outreach arms of the Grand Old Party (GOP). It aims to train and engage new generations of Republican activists and shape the party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan with voices from America's youth.

Cultural Latina

Purpose: The Cultural Latina Club, formally known as the CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) Club, is an organization for college students whose parents are migrant workers.

Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS)

Purpose: The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) organization offers majors within this field of study an opportunity to explore career opportunities.

Forestry and Wildlife

Purpose: The Forestry and Wildlife Club promotes the wise use of natural resources and provides skills related to management of natural resources.

National FFA

Purpose: The ABAC chapter of the National FFA organization offers collegiate students a continued involvement in Agricultural Education.

Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators (SPAGE)

Purpose: Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators, or commonly known as SPAGE, provides education majors information about their specific career paths.

Honors Club

Purpose: The Honors Club provides exposure to ideas, sponsor group activities, enhance opportunities to form friendships, facilitate a forum for group discussion of ideas and opinions, and present opportunities to serve both campus and community.  This club is open only to members of the Honors Program.

Horticulture Club

Purpose: The Horticulture Club allows students to apply what is learned in the horticulture classroom to everyday practices through club activities.

Minority Academic Social Development Association (MASDA) 

Purpose: The Minority Academic Social Development Association, or commonly known as MASDA, celebrates the history, contributions and achievements of minorities.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Purpose: Phi Theta Kappa, or PTK, is a nationally accredited honors society in which students are invited for membership under certain academic criteria

Political Science

Purpose: The ABAC Political Science Club encourages students to become politically involved and to act as catalysts for civics.  The non-partisan organization strives to make the ABAC community more aware of the political atmosphere around them.  This club also provides an opportunity for students to discuss and understand current events with other students.

Pre-Veterinarian/Animal Science

Purpose: The Pre Veterinarian, or Pre Vet, Club promotes interests in veterinary science as it applies to future veterinaries and animal science students.

RacCooners 

Purpose: The RacCooners Club encourages and teaches students safe hunting procedures and group hunting tips.

Purpose: The Residence Housing Association, or commonly known as RHA, gives on campus students the necessary and proper voice in the residence halls.
