Pinwheeled For Relay

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.  Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.  Each year, more than 3.5 million people in 5,000 communities in the United States, along with additional communities in 20 other countries, gather to take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer.  Thanks to Relay participants, the American Cancer Society continues to save lives.

This year, the Student Government Association of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College is sponsoring a Pinwheeled For Relay fundraising event for Relay For Life.  Faculty, staff, students, and members of the Tifton community can donate $5 to Relay For Life and have the yard of their best friend, office mate, department head, dean, or bitter enemy decorated with beautiful red and silver pinwheels.  The luck recipient of the pinwheels then has the option of donating $10 for removal within 24 hours, $5 for removal within 48 hours, or simply waiting out the 5 day pinwheel period.  For guaranteed immunity from pinwheel harassment, one may donate $20 to this worthy cause.

If you or someone you know would like to become involved in this creative fundraiser, or if you would like to ensure that your neighbor doesn't win the coveted Yard of the Month award, please contact Amanda Urquhart via email for more information.

Thank you for supporting our Student Government Association and Relay For Life!

Sincerely,
