Eliza Tait, Senator of Human Sciences

Eliza Tait, born in Brunswick, Georgia, is currently a sophomore at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and a recent transfer student from Valdosta State University.  While attending VSU she volunteered in her hometown animal shelter and at the Salvation Army. While at the Salvation Army she helped pack toys in bags for children for Christmas. She is majoring in Criminal Justice with the goal of becoming a corrections officer. Since her enrollment at ABAC, she has strived to perform her absolute best in her academics. Last semester she made the Dean’s List. Her goal is to make the Dean’s Honors List for this school year.

While in high school, she was in student government her ninth and tenth grade year. She helped change school polices and reply to the needs of the student body. As a junior in high school, she served as vice president of her class attending meetings with the principal to discuss fundraiser ideas to make money for the class. She was also in the BETA club and served at the Manna House in Brunswick to help feed the homeless. She participated in her schools donations. She donated shoes to her school, which were sent to kids in Haiti. She also donated stuffed animals to her school, which were sent to kids around the country. As a senior in high school, she became captain of the schools cross country team. She placed sixth in her region and was able to attend the state competition. She graduated fourth in her class with honors.

She is excited to be a part of ABAC’s Student Government Association this year. She is passionate about being a part of her school. She plans to be a big help in bettering the school of Human Sciences.
