1 c. water
1 Tbsp. finely shredded orange peel
½ c. orange juice
2 t. finely lemon peel ¼ t. lemon
juice
4 c. sliced strawberries 1 -
26.4 ounce bottle sparkling cider, chilled
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water, heat almost to boiling,
stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat, stir in the citrus peels and
juices; chill. In a blender container or food processor bowl, purée
berries. Sieve, if desired, to remove seeds. Add to juice mixture; chill 30
minutes. Transfer to a punch bowl; add chilled cider. If desired, float
additional sliced berried on top. Makes about 12 servings. (If doubling the
recipe, purée the berries half at a time.)
