Summer 2010 Staff Forum/Call Meeting
July 21, 2010
Welcome and
Invocation Nancy Anthony called the meeting to order at 3:40 p.m. in the
Guest Speaker Alice Kelly, Tift Area Young Professionals. Overview of what the program stood for and what they do. If you did not get the flyer with information please let Nancy Anthony know.

Approval Minutes:
Minutes from the May 5, 2010 Staff Forum meeting were distributed and reviewed.
The minutes were approved as written. (Motion from Tracy Dyal; second from Judy Perry)
Account Balances:
Staff Forum Expendable
As of 9/3/10 balance is: $3,901.99
Staff Forum Endowment
As of 9/3/10 the corpus balance is $11,007.32
Note: The current earnings balance is unavailable (because of pending 6/30 audit adjustments)
Roy Jackson Award for Staff Excellence Endowment
As of 9/3/10 the corpus balance is $35,041.10

New Business:
State Staff Council:
· Vote to set aside expandable money for gas to attend State Staff Council at the Fall meeting.
Electing Officers for Academic 2010-2011:
· Two for Fall, Two for Spring, One for Summer
· If interested please read By-Laws and requirements and submit your name for consideration to Nancy Anthony or the Nominations Committee Chair.
· Additional training days for Staff development
Fund Raisers for Academic 2010-2011:
· Staff Appreciation Day.
o Looking at dates in Spring
· Tom Turkey Auction
o The week of November 15-19
By-Laws:
· Received copy of proposed By-Laws revisions.
o Review and let Nancy Anthony know if there are any problems.
