FALL 2007 Staff Forum
September 5, 2007
Welcome and Invocation - Ms.
Brenda Doss, Chair, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM in the
Guest Speaker – Ms. Diane Kilgore
Ms. Kilgore spoke about the Service Excellence Program. She explained to the group that the Governor issued a challenge that all State agencies would provide faster, friendlier, easier service. The Chancellor thought this was a good idea so he hired someone at the system level to be in charge of this office and that person appointed a person at each school to be in charge of implementing this project. Ms. Kilgore was appointed to fill this position. Each school has to do a Process Improvement Project every year. ABAC’s project for the year that just ended was on Career Services. The focus of the project brought about Partners in Excellence, a partnership between Faculty, Staff, and students. The mission statement and goals were printed on a desk template and passed out to everyone on campus. The process improvement project for next year is multi-faceted and is information based. The first phase is the new Information center, the second part is the call center, and the third part is knowledge based. Suggestions are needed on what ABAC can do to make your job easier so that you can provide friendlier, faster, easier service. Ms. Kilgore reminded everyone to please sign up for the Service Excellence training.
