Clubs and Organizations

Some people watch life go by. Others soak it up. At ABAC, you’ll get a chance to be as involved as you want to be. Academics come first. After all, that’s why you’re here. But don’t wallflower your college career away. Jump on board.

Leadership opportunities abound in the Student Government Association and Campus Activities Board (CAB). The SGA includes executive, legislative and judicial branches. Students make their own programs and decisions. CAB members organize all the fun events that go on during the year such as dances, movies, concerts, and the ever popular Spring Fling.

Join a club. With so many to choose from, there’s bound to be one that grabs your attention. Try these on for size - Agricultural Equipment Technology Club, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Bass Fishing Club, Forestry-Wildlife Club, FFA, Family and Consumer Sciences Club, Georgia Association of Student Nurses, Horticulture Club, Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators, Music Educators National Conference, Pre-Vet Club, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Student Support Leadership Club, Minority Academic Social Development Association, Political Science Club, and the ABAC Ambassadors. And that’s not all!

ABAC is one of the few colleges in the country where you can actually bring your horse to campus. We have stables on campus and plenty of space for long after-class rides.

If you like to write, take pictures, draw, or even talk on the radio, ABAC has a place for you. Write or take pictures for the college’s award-winning newspaper, The Stallion, or compose poetry or draw for the literary magazine, Pegasus. Play the music you like on the campus radio station, WPLH.

If bright lights fascinate you, take a place on stage with the Cultura Latina Club dance team, pick up the trumpet with the jazz band, or sing a sweet note with the jazz choir. The concert band and concert choir also await your talents. If theatre is your thing, the Baldwin Players stage wonderful productions. Look at those choices!
