Rural Studies

Bachelor's Degree in Rural Studies

Rural Studies is one of the most innovative academic programs in America.

The Rural Studies program serves three major areas and will include internships as well as traditional classes. The Rural Studies degree addresses the social, economic, demographic, political, and cultural aspects of rural development in North America and educates students about solving rural problems and how best to meet the needs of the changing rural landscape.

You can choose from three areas of concentration:

Graduates of this program will be prepared for work in areas such as:

  • private sector organizations that deal with rural issues
  • public service organizations for local agriculturalists and homeowners
  • non-profit organizations
  • government agencies
  • rural development

Internship plays vital role in curriculum
