RacCooners: Encourages safe hunting procedures, sportsmanship and group hunting. Check out the article in GON about ABAC RacCooners Club! The ABAC Cooners club was created for students who loved spending some of their nights in the woods with dogs they had trained for the sport of coon hunting. The ABAC Cooners club is the only collegiate UKC club in the United States, and this was made possible by John Hagin, the founder of the club. The Cooners not only enjoy good times spent in the woods with our dogs but we enjoy the great fellowship with Friends and new students that come in every semester. The club promotes hunter safety and values that are needed in this day and time. We do a lot for our community in where we clean up church properties, memorial sites, and we "pick and sing" for people at the nursing home. We want to invite students to come and learn of this old time sport that was created in the heart of Dixie.
