FOOTBALL 101 CLASS BEGINS JULY 28 AT ABAC

TIFTON—A Football 101 class will be offered on the campus of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College beginning July 28 through the Public Service and Business Outreach Center. Pre-registration is required.

The class will be held July 28 – Aug. 4 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Ag Sciences building, Room 139. There is a fee of $29 for this class.

This course will provide insight and instruction to anyone who would like to gain a better grasp of football through discussion of the basic rules, the history of football in this area, and the use of football-related terms.

Chris Beckham, who hosts a morning radio show on WTIF as well as several other football and sports-related radio shows, will teach the class.

“It’s really designed for anyone who has maybe a little knowledge of football or no concept of it whatsoever,” Beckham said.  “It’s not limited to females but I think we will probably have some wives in the class whose husbands love football, and they want to know a little more about it.

“I think it would be great if couples attended the class together then they could go home and sit down and watch the games together.”

For additional information or to register, interested persons can contact ABAC’s Public Service and Business Outreach Center at (229) 391-5070.
