VALDOSTA OFFICERS GRADUATE FROM ABAC POLICE ACADEMY

TIFTON— Jeremy R. Kompoltowicz of Valdosta; Randy L. Lightsey of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office; and Jason M. Frost, Mark R. Mendoza, Thomas W. Newton, Tyre B. Schultz, and Heather L. Turner of the Valdosta Police Department were among 18 individuals who recently received certificates at graduation exercises for the 228th session of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) Regional Police Academy at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Frost received first place in Academic Achievement with second place awarded to Lightsey. Lightsey also received second place in Firearms.

The Police Academy regularly holds multi-week intensive training sessions designed to acquaint officers with state-of-the-art law enforcement techniques. The Academy operates in cooperation with the Division of Social Science at ABAC.
