CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY BEGINS SEPTEMBER 2

TIFTON—A Citizens Police Academy class, sponsored by the Tifton Police Department, will begin on Sept. 2 through Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

The class will be held Tuesdays, from 7 – 9 p.m. on Sept. 2 – Nov. 11 at the Tifton Police Department.  This class is free of charge. Pre-registration is required.

In this class, participants will gain a better understanding of what crime is, the role of police officers in problem solving, and the relationship between the community and the police in solving crime. There will be a graduation ceremony with diplomas given upon completion of the course.
