SYLVESTER RESIDENTS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS AT ABAC

TIFTON—Morris B. Mitchell and Angela K. Riveiro of Sylvester and Karen M. Hill of Poulan were awarded scholarships at the recent Honors Day ceremony at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

The awards, provided through the ABAC Foundation, were based on a number of criteria such as leadership ability, character, academic excellence, and financial need.

Mitchell, a forest technology major, received a $2,100 Langdale Company Forest Scholarship. Riveiro, a biology major, received a $2,000 J.E. & Annie Lou Connor Forestry Scholarship.

Hill, a wildlife technology major, received a $1,500 David W. Mullis Memorial Scholarship.
