NINETEEN GRADUATE FROM 218th
TIFTON—Nineteen
individuals from the South Georgia area recently received certificates at
graduation exercises for the 218th session of the Georgia Public Safety
Training Center (GPSTC)
Academy Director Marty Smith said the Overall Achievement award for the session was awarded to Jacob A. Teter of the ABAC Police Department. Teter also received first place in Academic Achievement and second place in Firearms. Thomas E. Outlaw of the Albany Police Department received first place in Firearms. Samuel J. Edwards of the Dougherty County Police Department received second place in Academic Achievement and served as President of the 218th session.
Other graduates included Hope D. Allen, Terry L. Brown, John L. Coleman, John A. Fabian, and Andreal C. Jones of the Albany Police Department; Michael R. Espinoza of the Ashburn Police Department; Cody A. Crews of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office; Jason K. Gourley of the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office; Michael P. Owens of the Irwin County Sheriff’s Office; James W. Bertsch of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office; and Chad E. McDaniel of the Morven Police Department.
Also graduating were Ronald S. Mathews of the Pavo Police
Department; Miguel A. Olivas of the Tifton
Police Department; Thomas B. Bisdorf and
Robert C. Porter of the Valdosta Police Department; and Michael C. Ramirez of the Wilcox County
Sheriff’s Office.
