            GATTS NAMED NEW COMPTROLLER FOR ABAC

TIFTON—Vice President for Fiscal Affairs John Clemens has named Judy Gatts as the new comptroller for the Business Office at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.  Gatts was born in Oakland, CA and raised in Bemiss, GA. She graduated from Lowndes High School in 1981.

            Gatts attended Valdosta State College where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Immediately after graduation, she started work for the Georgia Department of Audits in 1985.

            Gatts left the Georgia Department of Audits as a Senior Auditor in 1994 to accept a position as Director of Business Operations at Columbus Technical College. While at Columbus Technical College, Gatts was promoted to the position as Vice President of Administrative Services, gaining experience in both the financial and general operations aspects of college activities.

            Gatts begins her position as ABAC comptroller on May 15.
