IMMEDIATE MARCH 22, 2007
CHAMBER ENSEMBLE TO
PERFORM AT CHAPEL SERVICE
TIFTON - The Abraham
Baldwin College Chamber Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Susan Roe, will
perform at the annual Candlelight Remembrance Service during Homecoming at
ABAC. The service will be held on March
30 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of All Faiths.
Following a vocal selection by the choir, Dr. Wayne Roe, pastor, First Baptist Church of Tifton, will read scripture and deliver a brief message. Members of the congregation will then be invited to light candles in memory of ABAC alumni, students, faculty and staff, and friends who have passed away during the past year as well as those who have passed away previously. Candles may also be lit in honor of those serving in the Armed Forces around the world.
“This is truly one of the most touching moments of Homecoming,” said Alumni Director Nancy Coleman. “We started this service in 2000, and it continues to touch all those present.”
There will special recognition for two faculty members who passed away during the past year. Dr. Pattie Garrett Clark, who had been a member of the nursing faculty for 26 years, died last June. Eugene Wyles, band director for 16 years, passed away in January.

the service, contact the ABAC Alumni Office at 229-391-4898.
