ATRIUM DEDICATION MARCH 15

 

TIFTON—The dedication of the Health Sciences Atrium will take place on March 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the Health Sciences building on the campus of Abraham Baldwin College.

The atrium will be dedicated in honor of Pattie Garrett Clark, Associate Professor in the Division of Nursing and Health Services. Clark passed away in 2006 after a short battle with cancer. She was a member of the ABAC faculty since 1980.

“Clark taught in the nursing program for 26 years,” Wanda Golden, Chair of the Division of Nursing, said. “Half of the current faculty had been taught by Clark. Both faculty and former students will be a part of the ceremony.”

Speakers will include Director of Public Relations Mike Chason, President David Bridges, Nursing Division Chair Wanda Golden, and Debra Stalvey, a 2006 nursing graduate. Stalvey will read a poem in Clark’s honor.

Patricia Barber and Kitty Ray, associate professors of nursing, will close the dedication with the unveiling of a portrait of Clark to be hung in the atrium. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
