John Michael Hall

HALL’S STAR SHINES BRIGHT ON AND OFF THE COURT

TIFTON – Basketball has always been a big part of John Michael Hall’s life, and so has a good education. Hall, a sophomore business administration major at Abraham Baldwin College from Moultrie, is a student athlete who focuses on his studies just as much as he does on his game.

The Colquitt County graduate started playing basketball at the age of four on the local YMCA team in his hometown. “I played everything growing up, but somehow I narrowed it down to basketball,” Hall said.

With the Packers in high school, Hall was one of the top players in the league,  averaging 16 points per game. As a member of the ABAC Golden Stallions, he is averaging 13 points per contest.

When his high school career came to a close, Hall chose ABAC to further his education.

“I decided to take the junior college route and get re-recruited,” Hall said.  “I prayed a lot about it, and this is where I felt like I was supposed to be.”

Once setting foot on ABAC soil, Hall knew he had made the right decision. “I really like the atmosphere of the college,” Hall said. “You get the opportunity to know a lot of people, which is a big advantage. And it’s nice to know your professors personally.”

Besides being a member of the Golden Stallions basketball team, he is also a member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries and FCA. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, traveling, and listening to music in his spare time.

“School and basketball keep me pretty busy, so I don’t get to do my hobbies very often,” Hall said.

Hall wants to major in international business, focusing on Latin America. “I love the culture and people there,” Hall said. “I went to Honduras for a mission trip, and the relationships I have with the people there made me love it even more.”

Hall is still undecided as to where he will go after graduating from ABAC. “It will depend on the recruiting aspect,” he said. “I will have some options but I will just have to pray about it. I am not anxious about not knowing; just excited.”

Once Hall has completed his education, he plans to do a lot more traveling and mission work, along with maintaining a career in international business and having a family. “I have a lot of goals,” Hall said.

Hall is the son of Keith and Emily Hall of Moultrie and has two sisters, Kristen (18) and Anna (15).
