AUTHOR JACKIE COOPER TO SPEAK AT ABAC FEBRUARY 5

 

TIFTON- Local author Jackie K. Cooper will speak at Abraham Baldwin College on Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. in the Cordell Conference Room of the Carlton Center. Before speaking, Cooper will do a reading and book signing from 4 – 5 p.m. This event is open to the public and funded by a grant from the Georgia Humanities Council.

Cooper’s works include Journey of a Gentle Southern Man, Chances and Choices, Halfway Home, and his most recent novel, The Book Binder, published in September, 2006.

His short stories have been used as commentary on Georgia Public Radio where he has a weekly radio spot with St. John Flynn. He also writes entertainment reviews for middle Georgia newspapers and appears as an after dinner speaker for various events.

Cooper was born in South Carolina but now resides in Albany. He is married with two sons and two grandchildren.

This project is supported by the Georgia Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities and through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly.
