AMY GRANT TO PERFORM AT DOLLARS FOR ABAC SCHOLARS
TIFTON—A six-time Grammy Award winner will perform at the 36th annual Dollars For ABAC Scholars when Amy Grant takes the stage on June 15 in the annual fundraiser for the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Foundation.
Grant, the voice behind six number one hits including “Baby, Baby,” “Every Heartbeat,” and “I Will Remember You,” will perform at 8 p.m. in the John Hunt Auditorium of the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center. All proceeds benefit student scholarships at ABAC.
“Amy Grant is a performer that everyone just loves,” Betty McCorvey, Assistant Director of Development for ABAC, said. “Her voice and her stage presence should make this one of our best shows.”
McCorvey said a limited number of tickets for prime concert seating and a pre-show banquet meal will be available at $125 each. Concert tickets in the 2,000-seat auditorium without the meal are $75 each. Tickets will go on sale on April 30. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.
Platinum Scholarship sponsors for the event are the Ambling University Development Group, Ameris Bank, Pennington Lawn and Garden Products, and The Stafford Companies.
Reserved tables for the meal, which include eight tickets together in a prime concert location, are $1,250 each. For more information, interested persons can call the ABAC Foundation office at (229) 391-4897 or visit the ABAC web site at www.abac.edu.
