ABAC FALL BAND AND CHOIR
CONCERT NOVEMBER 16
TIFTON - The Abraham Baldwin College Band and Choir will perform a variety of music at the annual fall concert on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Howard Auditorium. The event is open to anyone who would like to attend at no charge.
Under the direction of Dr. Susan Roe, Assistant Professor of Voice, the concert choir will perform an arrangement of The Star-Spangled Banner by John Stafford Smith, Sanctus from the Harmoniemesse by Franz Joseph Haydn, Eternal God by John Rutter, Cantique de Jean Racine, Op. 11 by Gabriel Faure, My Lord, What A Morning arranged by Russell Robinson, Carry Me Home arranged by Jean Shafferman, and Go Down Moses arranged by Greg Gilpin.
As an added bonus, the ABAC Jazz Choir will perform Anything Goes by Cole Porter and Give Me the Simple Life by Ruby and Bloom arranged by Robinson.
The ABAC Concert Band, under the direction of Eugene Wyles, will delight the audience with well-known selections including, His Honor by Henry Fillmore, The Poet and Peasant Overture by Franz Von Suppe, selections from The Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber, arranged by Warren Barker, and Variations on a Korean Folk Song by James Clifton Williams, Jr.
