HARPER PLANS BUSINESS CAREER AFTER ABAC
TIFTON – Ashton Harper, a freshman
business administration major from Ocilla, has big plans once graduating from
“I would like to own my own company,” Harper said. “My father owns a company, and I have always been an entrepreneur.”
Harper decided to attend ABAC to receive his business degree. “My brother went here, and he always talked about how much he liked it,” Harper said. “Plus, it reminds me of my hometown. It’s not too big, and it’s not too small.”
At ABAC, he is a member of the ABAC Ambassadors, the Rowdies, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Alpha Beta Gamma. “I really like the atmosphere of ABAC, and the staff and faculty are very helpful,” Harper said.
The Ambassadors assist the offices of public relations and admissions, representing and promoting the college at a variety of community and college events. They work to maintain positive relationships between students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community.
His hobbies include flying helicopters and hunting. “A few months ago I started playing golf,” he said. “I really like that.”

For now, Harper is focusing on his education on business in the hopes of a successful future. “Ten years from now, I can see myself running a company and being married,” Harper said.
Harper is the son of DW and Elecia Harper.
