ABAC EVENING PROGRAM REGISTRATION JANUARY 2

TIFTON--New student orientation and registration for Abraham Baldwin College students who plan to attend evening classes during the spring semester will take place on Jan. 2 beginning at 4 p.m. in the Ag Sciences building. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 8. ABAC will be closed for the holidays Dec. 23 – Jan. 1.

“Orientation is an important time for students to get the classes they need and meet with their advisors,” Ali Csinos, Coordinator of Recruiting, said.

Students can choose from 52 evening classes, including offerings in accounting, biology, computer information systems, communications, criminal justice, economics, education, English, history, horticulture, mathematics, music, physical education, political science, psychology, sociology, and Spanish, as well as freshman seminar and learning support classes.

Eight degree programs are available by taking classes only at night. Degrees are offered in the areas of Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, and Human Services (Social Science).

ABAC on the Square in Moultrie will offer 40 different classes on its campus for the spring term as well. Classes offered include communications, history, mathematics, physical education and psychology.

Students who need assistance paying for their college education can still apply for financial aid, but they must be prepared to pay initially and be reimbursed for the aid that they qualify for at a later date. For additional information, contact the Financial Aid Office at (229) 391-4910.

“It would be best to have all paperwork in by Dec. 18,” Csinos said.  “The reservation deadline for orientation is Dec. 22 and students who need to take placement testing must have it completed by Dec. 21.”

Fee payment deadline for students who have already pre-registered for spring semester is Dec. 15 by 3 p.m. If payment is not made by this time, students will lose their classes and have to register again.

For more information, contact Kay Powell, ABAC’s Interim Director of Evening/Off-Campus Programs, at (229) 391-4905, or e-mail her at kpowell@abac.edu.
