AUDITIONS FOR “NEVER RUNS SMOOTH” SEPTEMBER 11 - 12

TIFTON- Auditions for Abraham Baldwin College’s fall play, “Never Runs Smooth”, will be held Sept. 11 - 12 at 7 p.m. in Conger Hall, Room 319. The play is about love and its problems as dealt with by William Shakespeare in his plays. The characters in the play are from all walks of life and are various ages, but have one common thread – a love for action, stories, and language of Shakespeare.

Dr. Brian Ray, Assistant Professor of English and Writing Center Coordinator, will be writing the dialogue between selections as well as creating the original characters.

Dr. John Galyean, Associate Professor of Speech and Theater, said, “I’m thrilled to have a collaborator. It’s fantastic to see the characters being molded by his creativity.

“The whole point of this play is to demystify Shakespeare and impress upon the audience that Shakespeare can be enjoyed by everyone,” Galyean said.

Auditions are not exclusive to ABAC students and personnel. Auditions are open to the whole community. The Baldwin Players will perform the fall production Nov. 9 – 11 in Conger Hall, Room 319 at 7:30 p.m.
