ABAC TO HOLD FORUMS ON PRESIDENTIAL SELECTION

TIFTON—Three forums will be held by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to solicit information regarding the selection of the institution’s new president. These forums will be directed by William Bowen, Jr., Chair of the Presidential Search and Advisory Committee.

The first of these forums will take place on Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. on the third floor of ABAC’s J. Lamar Branch Student Center. This forum is open for the students of ABAC to address thoughts and concerns regarding the presidential search.

A forum for all faculty and staff of the college is scheduled on Jan. 20 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Cordell Conference Room of the Carlton Center. The entire ABAC community is invited to participate. A final community-wide forum will be held on Jan. 24 from 3 – 4 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Tifton.

Participants in the forums will discuss qualifications ABAC’s next president should have, as well as the challenges a president will face and traits needed for the position.

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is expected to name a new ABAC president in April.
