TWENTY-THREE GRADUATE FROM
204th
TIFTON—Twenty-three
individuals from the South Georgia area recently received certificates at
graduation exercises for the 204th Session of the South Georgia Police Academy
Basic Mandate Class at
Academy Director Ray Saxon said that John S. Logan of the Lanier County Sheriff’s Office received the award for Overall Achievement. Steven K. Collins of the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office earned first place in Academic Achievement. Collins also served as president of the 204th session. Second place in Academic Achievement was received by Chris V. Holton of the Adel Police Department.
First place in Firearms was earned by Myles D. Cooper of the Waycross Police Department, and second place went to Samuel S. Barragan of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Other graduates included Melanie S. Higgins and Robert J. Russell of the Albany Police Department; Joshua Dabuenmire and Daniel K. Hicks of the Americus Police Department; Corey F. Preston of the Camilla Police Department; Christopher L. Arnold and Trevis L. Guy of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office; and Toni P. Young of the Dougherty County Police Department.
Other graduates of the academy were Alfonso Trejo of the Echols County Sheriff’s Office; William E. Lang of the Moultrie Police Department; James M. Busby of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office; Johnny B. Walker, Jr. and Jimmy L. Watkins of the Sylvester Police Department; Jill D. Merritt of the Tifton Police Department; and Bobby J. Aldridge, Cody G. Carter, Albert D. Lucas, and Gregory J. Young of the Waycross Police Department.
